‘I Am Suing My Parents For Emotional Abuse - An Affidavit’ is a queer poetry book which documents the struggles of growing up non-binary and black in a hostile world. Born in New York to unaccepting Dominican parents, Kaiden Ford took to writing poetry to process their trauma. Their poems lay bare their experiences and their journey towards self-acceptance and authenticity.
“As the title suggests Ford’s heartfelt poems are a call to arms for a generation who refuse to be silenced by mediocrity. Their uncompromising honesty cuts through on every single page.”
